PHOTO REPORT - LUTHERIE MAKING - SAVIGNÉ-SUR-LATHAN - 37
Professional Photography - Business - Centre-Val-de-Loire
I completed this photo report very recently, in a rather unusual location for me, as I am more often asked to do reports in urban environments.
Florian is a self-employed entrepreneur who makes Vosges spruce trees in Savigné-sur-Lathan in Indre-et-Loire.
With his father's help, Florian Haffner built and equipped the workshop where he now practices his craft of making and restoring stringed musical instruments. There, one can discover objects with exotic names such as the Appalachian Dulcimer, the Hungarian Cittera, and the bowed psaltery.
Being a musician himself, he became interested very early on in unusual instruments, which he now makes from plans he designs from A to Z. In addition, he regularly participates in festivals all over Europe.
Working exclusively with fine woods, such as ebony, cherry and maple, he exports his work as far as the United States.
